It’s typhoon season, and this year, Taiwan has been hit particularly hard. Over 500 people have been injured and two people have lost their lives in the storms, with raging rains and winds ripping up both wildlife and infrastructure around the island.

More than 700,000 homes have had their power cut, and flights to and from the country were canceled.

Typhoon Danas now appears to be leaving Taiwan and making its way toward Hong Kong, an area that’s currently bracing for its arrival.
