Italian Resort Town Rocked by Sudden Mini-Tornado and Waterspouts

The Italian town of Maccarese, a beach area near Rome, is currently dealing with something that will surely affect its future tourism numbers. In short, visitors to the beach yesterday had their trip suddenly uprooted by the presence of a mini-tornado — which, although not as destructive as a proper tornado, still managed to carry away a bunch of umbrellas and people’s belongings.
Not only that, but soon after, waterspouts formed over the sea, meaning guests weren’t safe on land or in the water.
Sorry, Italians, looks like you’re better off vacationing in Greece after all.
