Don’t fake a relationship, don’t post on social media — just go on the late-show and tell Jimmy Kimmel that your daughter’s boyfriend can’t stop laying eggs.

While promoting her new film, Wildcats, Kate Beckinsale made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and delivered what might be one of the most insane moments in late-night history, claiming that her daughter, Lily Mo Sheen, is dating a man who can lay eggs.

Beckinsale, not warning to sound crazy, prefaced the story by telling Kimmel that she initially thought he was pulling her leg, but later changed her mind after seeing how distraught he was. She told Kimmel that, upon inspection, “it had a shell and a yolk,” confirming that it was actually an egg. She claimed it didn’t come “out of his mouth or ears” but from his butt.

Kimmel, clearly not believing her, asked her to explain how a man might lay an egg.

According to Beckinsale, he didn’t just lay one egg, but laid two eggs over the course of a week. She claims the boy went to the bathroom and came out with an egg in his hand and horror on his face. She also said the egg he laid was hard-boiled.

I don’t mean to be a buzzkill, but to boil an egg, you’d need to have an internal body temperature of 167 degrees Fahrenheit. Which, for someone who can lay hard-boiled eggs, I guess isn’t far of a jump.
