Kentucky Nurse Saves Raccoon Who Got Drunk on Fermented Peaches
Only in America, baby!

A Kentucky-based nurse named Misty Combs is being called a hero after a video of her saving the life of a drunk raccoon went viral last week, depicting her performing CPR on the little drunk trash panda.
Combs said her “motherly instincts kicked in” when she found the drunk raccoon in a dumpster. Her place of work is right next door to the Kentucky Mist Moonshine factory, and a pile of fermented peaches was thrown out in the trash, where you guessed it, the mother raccoon was found having eaten them.
Most people, if they found a drunk raccoon in a dumpster, would have simply written it off, but not Combs, who said that, sure, she was “afraid” of possibly contracting rabies, but her “motherly instincts” were too strong for her to ignore the little critter.
In the words of Mr. Rogers, “Always look out for the helpers.”

"Our health department is right beside Kentucky Mist Moonshine, a distillery..." Combs said, explaining how a raccoon was trying to get her two babies, who were stuck in a dumpster.
