KFC Installed A.I. Drive-Thrus in Australia, But They Can’t Understand Australian Accents

Despite pretty much everyone hating them, fast-food companies are still insisting on replacing their drive-thru workers with A.I.-powered assistants. What are the benefits of this? Well, if you’re the company, you can fire one more minimum wage worker! Who cares if your net profit was $1.5 billion last year? You can save $7.25 an hour!
Last year, KFC began rolling out drive-thru ordering systems in Australia that were powered by A.I. The problem? They don’t really seem fully tuned in with the Aussie accent — leading to situations like these:
