Italy is a beautiful country with a rich history, gorgeous beaches, the Vatican, and great pasta. Unfortunately, though, it also has the floppiest, soggiest pizza you’ll ever eat. An American visiting Italy and being disappointed by Italian pizza is like how many Chinese tourists visit Paris only to find themselves devastated that it’s dirty and covered in graffiti.

Italians may have invented pizza, but Americans have perfected it.

Just stick to pasta, guys; we have better pizza at home.
