LAPD Tried to Run a Dude Over With a Horse When They Thought No One Was Watching

Er, I mean, “allegedly.”

If I were part of current day Los Angeles law enforcement, I would be doing everything in my power to not be mentioned in a news story. That’s because, for as long as they’ve existed, the forces of Los Angeles have been controversial. This is mainly due to their shitty behavior — if Rodney King isn’t evidence enough of this, maybe just Google “LASD Gangs” and see what comes up!

Recently, the protests in Los Angeles, and the police’s response to them, have brought this shitty behavior into the public’s consciousness once more. To offer yet another example, here’s a video in which a protester appears to be lying on the ground. After a few seconds, some horse cops come and stop on him.

I love freedom!

Did the LAPD Intentionally Shoot This Australian Reporter?

As the Los Angeles protests continue, reporters have come from all over the world to document the chaos unfolding on the streets — including some of the more unsavory actions of the police.

It turns out, however, that cops don’t really like having a camera shoved in their faces, and sometimes, they’ll respond by (allegedly) shooting you directly with a rubber bullet.

This Australian reporter, Lauren Tomasi, was covering the protests when a cop, who is clearly visible in the shot, pulled out his gun, appeared to aim at her leg, then fired.

Then again, maybe it was an accident. These things just happen, I guess!
