LeBron James Isn't Retiring, He's Selling Hennessy
They’re calling it the first NBA rug pull.

LeBron James, the 40-year-old, 23-year NBA veteran, sent NBA fans into a frenzy yesterday when he posted a video on social media titled “The Second Decision,” leading many to scoop up tickets to what they assumed would be his final tour. However, those same fans were left with a sour taste in their mouths today after learning LeBron’s “Second Decision” was not an announcement of his retirement — it was an ad for Hennessy.
For example, tickets to LeBron’s “final regular-season game” in Utah on April 12, 2026, jumped hundreds of dollars in a matter of hours. Tickets for his last stop in Cleveland were selling last night in the thousands.
Many NBA fans were skeptical that LeBron would announce his retirement this way, while many more are pissed they dropped big bucks on games LeBron might not even play in.
I guess the joke’s on us. Did we really think LeBron's final regular-season game would be in Utah?
