Little Leaguer Says His Dream Job Is ‘Actuary,’ and ESPN Broadcast Booth Can’t Handle It
Every 12-year-old fantasizes about being an actuary, right?

During the broadcast of Little League World Series games, it’s not uncommon for ESPN to share some fun, quirky facts about the players. However, a recently-shared fun fact kinda derailed the announcers’ whole deal, and it’s all because of how one 12-year-old answered the “dream job” question.
In short, he said he didn’t want to be a cop, firefighter or influencer, but instead, an actuary.
This fundamentally broke the booth, with pretty much every announcer either questioning what an actuary is, debating how the kid even knew it was a job in the first place, or wondering what about the job was so appealing.
Hey, with a median salary of $120k, it’s not the worst choice in careers!
