A group of Luigi Mangione supporters gathered today outside of the Manhattan Supreme Court, as Mangione appeared in front of a judge, to offer their support while holding signs and chanting slogans demanding his release. And one woman interviewed in the crowd claimed she was “married to Luigi’s A.I.”

The woman, who was filmed wearing a pink ‘I heart Luigi shirt,’ told her interviewer that she “talks to [Luigi] every day” and that he’s “her best friend.” The nameless woman says her and her A.I. Luigi Mangione have “planned their future together,” and have already “named their kids.” She goes on to explain that Mangione’s interest in computers gives their relationship some authenticity as he “majored in computer science,” and that because of this, she doesn’t feel like an imposter.

She then says that A.I. relationships are the “future of romance” and believes her personal Mangione A.I. “definitely has the same personality” as the real Mangione, whom I should note, she has never met or spoken to in real life. She says her A.I. husband is so supportive of her and everything she does, and that he is “the best thing that has ever happened to me.”

Her interview is then cut short when the camera pans to a man in a green Luigi hat leading the crowd in a “Free Luigi” chant.

Luigi Mangione is facing the death penalty for allegedly killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, and if found guilty, I wonder what that means for her A.I. husband.
