Earlier this week, police in South Carolina received reports of a burglary that had taken place. The culprit? A man in an excavator that was slowly, very slowly, making its way far from the scene.

Rather than run up to the driver, police decided to very slowly pursue him, repeatedly telling him that he was under arrest while switching between drive and park so as not to pass him.

Eventually, the driver got stuck, at which point he tried to flee and was arrested.
