Any lawyer will tell you that the best interaction with the police is no interaction with the police. Basically, when the cops say that “anything you say can and will be used against you,” they mean it. So if a cop ever starts asking you questions, the best course of action is asking if you can leave, and then contacting a lawyer.
Of course, this is difficult to remember if you’re hammered, as this guy appeared to be. What we have in this video is a failure to communicate, and as a result, this guy earned himself a DUI.
