Remember a while ago when that NFT party got ruined because they used UV lights that burned people’s eyes out? Well, it happened again, only on a much smaller scale this time around.
A man on Instagram decided to buy a UV light sterilizer for his aquarium. He was so excited about it that he decided to show his fans — by shining the light directly into his eyes.
In a follow-up video, the Instagrammer revealed that doing so made his eyes burn with a pain that he described as “unreal.” He said in this video that he was familiar with other UV lights and thought that the sterilizing bulbs would be similar. This, it turns out, was not the case.
So, lesson learned: Don’t put the frying bulbs next to your eyes.
