Man Who Promoted Rapture Theory Apologizes That We’re All Still Here
Sorry if you sold all of your stuff.

Remember last week when a bunch of people on TikTok thought the rapture was happening? Well, it didn’t happen (I don’t think), and so now, a lot of those rapture influencers are left with egg on their face.
Each one is responding in their own way. Some are saying that the rapture was just delayed (God is so finicky!); others are saying that they were never serious about it. However, one influencer in this space is putting his head above the rest by admitting that, yes, he was convinced that the Rapture was going to happen, and no, it didn’t actually happen and that he’s really, super sorry about that.
In a 10-minute long apology video, creator Tilahun Desalegn says he “was fully convinced and repeatedly said in all of my videos that a Rapture would happen.”
Now, he says that he wants to “publicly apologize to everyone that I convinced to get their hopes up high about the Rapture happening,” saying that, while he’ll be privately excited about the Rapture happening at some point in the future, he’s not going to post about it anymore.
“Even if this date has come and gone, I still believe it will happen,” Desalegn says. “I just don’t know anymore when it will happen and I’m not going to speculate anymore.”
Well, good on him for owning up to his mistakes, even if he *is* now making videos about an upcoming “exodus,” which I’m certain is completely different. I’m sure God will remember his change of heart when all of us get sent up to Heaven in the *real* Rapture, which we all know is happening October 21st.
Get ready!
