Intelligence can be found in many different places. For example, some researchers insist that mushrooms and other plants actually possess some rudimentary form of what we could consider to be “intelligence.” How cool is that?

In the case of mushrooms, some processes within them, like photosynthesis and growth, generate electrical “bio-signals.” These can then be used to power simple devices, like motors — and string a few of those motors to mallets, and you’ve got yourself mushrooms that can play musical instruments!

The only problem, it seems, is that they suck at it. Likely owing to the fact that they’re mushrooms and have no sense of what’s going on, they lack all rhythm and sense of melody. Instead, they’re basically just hitting the notes at random as bio-signals pulse through their mushroom bodies.

Still, I’d stream it.
