Musical Performance Ruined by One Wrong Soundboard Hit

While theaters of old used solely practical noises and an orchestra to create sound effects, most modern productions are run using some mix of the two. A musical will have the score played by a live orchestra with most other noises added by somebody queuing or hot-keying the sound on a computer.


This usually works pretty seamlessly. However, if you haven’t prepared correctly, you can end up in a situation like this:
