It’s long been understood that Nikola Jokic is a fan of horses, but only recently are fans realizing how deep that passion actually goes.

On a recent trip to China, Jokic was quoted as saying, “When people say what’s your biggest win, all my biggest victories and all my biggest losses are in the horse sports. All my biggest happiness was when one of my horses won a race. Same thing, all my biggest losses is when my horses don’t win.”

“That’s my biggest happiness and sadness. It’s not basketball. Basketball is something that I’m just good at,” he continued. “But horses is something that I feel the most happiness and sadness.”

Now, we can see that happiness in real time, as video has emerged of Jokic getting pretty teary-eyed after seeing one of his horses win a race in his native Serbia.
