In America, we’re obsessed with the idea of “horse race politics,” but we rarely live up to that moniker. Our politics are ridiculous, don’t get me wrong, but we take them really, really seriously. Why does every election have to be the “most important of our lifetime”?!?!

In South Korea, the politics of the country are equally fucked, but they certainly have a lighter attitude about them — at least in terms of how they cover them.

Now that Lee Jae-myung has secured the Presidential spot, we can look at some of the coverage that led up to that critical moment. Looks pretty different from what we have over here!
