You ever wonder what happens to Olympians after their big wins? Sure, they can compete again — but at a certain point, there’s really not a lot of money in throwing yourself around on a pommel horse. So, what’s a professional athlete to do?

In the case of Olympic gymnast Mary Lou Retton, you have a few too many and get behind the wheel of a car!

As reported by TMZ, Retton was stopped after driving recklessly. When the cops got to her, something was clearly amiss — and so, they made her perform a bunch of field sobriety tests, which she promptly failed despite being, in her slurred words, an “Olympic gold medalist.”

She then proceeded to call the cops “terrible,” pulled the whole “do you know who I am” routine and then eventually gave up, earning herself a DUI.

Retton has since apologized.
