Parisians Got So Excited About Their Soccer Win That They Destroyed Their Whole City
They’re just like us!

Over the weekend, the Paris-Saint Germain soccer team had a historic Champions League victory. In response, the people of Paris attempted to destroy their own city. I don’t get it, either — we’ll just call it “The Philadelphia Problem.”
According to The Guardian, celebrations of the win included flares, burnt-out cars and countless injuries alongside two deaths. Hundreds have already been arrested, and politicians are currently debating whether the soccer win was the cause of the violence or if people are so pissed off about the French government that this will just occasionally happen sometimes.
We’ll see how it ends — I’m not too well-read on history, but I assume there’s no precedent for France getting a little carried away with something!
