As she should. Judge Elizabeth Scherer ain't playing around anymore.

The defense team for Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz rested its case yesterday. But not before trying to play some mind games with Judge Scherer. Lawyers tried pulling a fast one, making it seem as if they were about to call another witness to be questioned. Scherer then asked which attorney would be questioning the witness.

To which the defense team responded that they would be resting their case. That didn't sit well with Scherer who said, "We're not playing chess."

She would go on to absolutely scorch the defense team stating, "You've been insulting me the entire trial!" When one attorney tried making her case (no pun intended) she was abruptly cut off by Scherer who also said, "I have never experienced a level of unprofessionalism in my career."

In a case where the stakes (and emotions) couldn't be higher, Judge Scherer had finally had enough of the BS. And you know what? Good for her. I'm on the outside looking in, so I say good riddance to that defense team.
