If you’ve been blessedly offline the past week, you might not be aware that a good portion of the internet has completely lost their minds. Why? Because Cracker Barrel changed their logo and decor (or, as some people put it, “went woke”).

Does the new logo and decor suck? Yes, I think we can all agree on that. However, did any of us really have any strong, positive feelings about Cracker Barrel? It’s the mediocre restaurant you eat at on a road trip — it’s not like we’re dealing with five-star dining here!

Despite this, apparently some people really *did* love the old logo and decor — so much so that they’ve begun to travel to their local Cracker Barrel to experience the restaurant “one last time.”

During their trips, they’re shedding tears, expressing disbelief at the new, minimalist logo, and, of course, wishing their farewells to Uncle Hershel, who will soon be leaving the logo.

We all agree this is pathetic, right?

But walking in to get this game brought so many good memories back and waves of grief over missing the people I would go there with. Please try to be kinder instead of making this about hate, politics, color, etc. I know it’s so dumb to cry over this but I’ll never forget asking my grandpa what an “eg-nor-a-moose” was and how he laughed when he told me. I don’t remember his explanation, but I remember his laugh and all of the memories of the special occasion trips to Cracker Barrel every spring break. I just needed this little game to help me cling to those memories since they are rebranding and the Cracker Barrel trips won’t evoke the same feelings they used to. So thank you to the manager and I’m so sorry for being weird. Your kindness truly means so much to me.
