The pilot was fine, thankfully.

Given just how shitty the news has been about planes recently, it’s easy to forget that it’s a miracle we can fly at all. Not only that, but flying in the modern era has historically been pretty darn safe, with solo flights requiring a fair bit of training and preparation.

Still, like in all things, shit can happen. In this case, the pilot’s plane went down — but thankfully, he, and the plane, were saved by one big parachute.
