R Kelly, aka Robert Sylvester Kelly, was charged in a New York court this week and was found guilty of "racketeering and sex trafficking", which was a pretty open secret in Hollywood, but when watching old clips like this, it seems people willfully turned a blind eye.

Update: Yesterday 6/29/22 R Kelly was finally sentenced to 30 years in prison by a US District Court. Kelly was found guilty and charged with federal racketeering and sex trafficking. Kelly's lawyer asked for a reduced sentence claiming that the prosecutor's decision was, “tantamount to a life sentence.” Kelly who is 52 years old has been using his influence and fame to harm women for nearly 30 years. So it's safe to say he got what he deserved.
