If you didn’t grow up watching The Osbournes on MTV, I genuinely feel bad for you. When The Osbournes premiered in 2002, reality TV was still pretty new, and Ozzy, Sharon, Jack and Kelly would go on to become legends of the genre. Not only was their show the most-viewed MTV series ever, it was also the most entertaining.

Ozzy once addressed rumors that the show was scripted, saying, “People thought The Osbournes [sic] was scripted, but it wasn’t. They’d sit there with five cameras pointing in all directions just for you to slip on a dog turd or something.”

Whatever the strategy, it worked. Take, for example, Ozzy watching a Chipotle employee roll his burrito. You can only find this sense of nirvana in daily life if you’ve done copious amounts of drugs.

RIP Ozzy, you will be missed.
