Someday, our robot maids will walk our robot dogs.


Last month, Elon Musk debuted the new and improved version of the Tesla Bot, also known as “Optimus.” Naturally, there were some fits and starts — for example, people quickly realized that the robots were likely not as autonomous as they originally seemed — but in general, it gave us a vision of what a potential future with humanoid robots might look like.


Now, we have another glimpse at that future, only this time, it’s significantly shittier. This video shows a robot walking a robot dog. The problem is, neither of them are very good at the whole “walking” thing.


Hopefully, this can be improved in a later patch!

I mean, she technically stopped it.


Moving a lot of stuff is annoying, which is why it can be tempting to cut the occasional corner. You might end up regretting it later, but it’s just so much easier to shove everything into a box rather than spend the next two hours carefully wrapping up and packing cables.


In this case, a woman thought she had a speedy method for bringing a heavy bag down the stairs: simply have it tossed to her. But as she soon learned from the amount of air knocked out of her lungs, this wasn’t a great idea.
