Russian Teens Arrested After Making TikToks in Front of Burning Building
It’s getting more and more dangerous to be an influencer.

A group of Russian teens saw a burning oil depot in Sochi that had recently been hit by a Ukrainian strike and thought, “You know what? This would be the perfect place for a TikTok.” And so, they recorded one, singing alone to the song “Crimson Dawn” by Russian rapper Endshpil as the flames roared behind them.
Soon after, the two women in the video, named Dasha and Karina, were arrested, though the man in the video seemingly went uncharged. While officials claim that such acts promoted unsafe behavior, there’s also speculation that the government believes such videos risk painting an unfavorable portrayal of Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine.
