North Korea as a country is pretty locked down, to say the least. However, that doesn’t mean that people don’t have access to modern technology — it’s just that their modern technology looks pretty different to ours. For example, some people may have access to a computer; it will just be running the country’s Red Star OS, rather than Windows or Mac.
Others also have access to smartphones. That said, these things aren’t connected to the internet — and as this video shows, there are a lot of quirks about what you can see and what you can say.
