It’s a shame, but it’s just a fact of life that we often solve our waste problems by dumping them into the sea. While care is usually taken to ensure that people don’t end up swimming close to where we dump them, sometimes, that doesn’t happen — leading to incidents like this.

In a video posted to social media, 33-year-old influencer Michelle Sky Hayward shows herself splashing around in brown water and foam, even getting some on her face. Only later did she realize that this was likely feces.

However, this story takes a weird turn — according to the Daily Mail, she says that not only did the water not make her sick, but it may have benefitted her skin.
