Tesla’s Full Self-Driving Won’t Stop You From Hitting a Kid, Study Finds

Really, though, how many more times do we have to learn this?

Tesla vehicles offer a mode called “Full Self-Driving,” which, despite its name, is not actually full self-driving. Instead, the full name is “Full Self-Driving (Supervised),” meaning that you have to carefully monitor the car as it drives — and frequently fix its errors.

Sorry, but that doesn’t really feel like a “full” experience to me!

Making matters worse is the fact that this technology doesn’t actually work. As noted by Engadget, in a test, the car’s Full Self-Driving mode didn’t detect when it was next to a school bus with its stop signs up, and as a result, it hit a model child. It then proceeded to do this seven more times.

Forgive me, but I think the “killing kids” glitch should have been patched out before the wide release.
