When you were a kid, did your mom or dad ever tell you not to shower when there’s thunder and lightning outside? It turns out, they were probably right to do so.

While “don’t shower when there’s lightning” sounds like something akin to “waiting 30 minutes after eating to swim” — i.e., something someone just made up 50 years ago that stuck around — there are actually some significant dangers associated with showering in the rain.
