TikTokers Think the Rapture Is Happening Tomorrow

Oh great.

For centuries, Christians have theorized about the “Rapture.” While the Bible doesn’t get *too* specific about what this means, the general feeling is that the “Rapture” will involve Christ returning, gathering up all the living Christians, resurrecting those who have died and bringing them to heaven with Him.

This idea comes from the book of Thessalonians, which lays it out relatively explicitly. However, several other parts of the Bible note that there’s no way to predict when this is going to happen. That hasn’t stopped people from trying, though!

Over the years, numerous people have proclaimed that they know the exact date and time that the Rapture will occur. To date, they’ve all been wrong — but maybe these TikTokers are right!

An uncomfortably large number of people on TikTok seem to genuinely believe that the Rapture will happen either tomorrow or Wednesday (gotta have a little flexibility, I guess). Consequently, they’ve recorded themselves giving up their positions, questioning what the events of the day will be like and, of course, mocking anyone stupid enough to not believe that they’re going to be sucked up into heaven tomorrow. How Christian of them.

Naturally, this is all insane, and it’s doubtless that some people posting about it are clearly playing into it as a goof. But if they all get sucked away tomorrow, maybe we’ll all be sorry they’re gone. Maybe.

James 4:10-11 “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.” Luke 21:36 “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”
