Transportation Secretary Says Everything Travel-Related Is Somehow Going to Get Even Worse
You thought that wasn’t possible? Think again!

A video went viral this week showing the security line at Houston’s airport. Passengers reported waiting over four and a half hours to get through, which the airport claimed was due to staffing shortages caused by the government shutdown.
And if you thought things might get better soon, think again.
In a recent statement, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy basically said we’re screwed, you’re screwed, everyone you know is screwed — and, just for the heck of it, screw you specifically.
“We’ve seen problems at L.A., in Dallas, in D.C., Boston, Atlanta,” he stated, “and so I think it’s only going to get worse.”
Despite the fact that we’re now missing significant airport staff and that all of our equipment ranges from “broken” to “hopelessly out-of-date,” he insists that flying in the country is still safe.
“We don’t have the best equipment in our towers and centers for air traffic control,” he said. “But, we have the safest airspace, we have the most efficient airspace because we have the best controllers in the world that work our skies and keep our people safe.”
So if you’re planning a flight soon, you might just want to take a bus. It will probably be faster!
Social media footage shows a huge crowd waiting to get through the TSA checkpoint at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. “Four-and-a-half hours just to make it through the line to get into the TSA security line.
