President Trump’s love of the Village People is well-known. From playing “Macho Man” at his rallies, to doing his standard two-hand shuffle to “YMCA” whenever it comes on, the band is a favorite of the President.

Given this, it shouldn’t be a surprise that reporters were treated to repeated plays of their track “YMCA” on the White House lawn yesterday, and yet, somehow, it’s still perplexing.

They claimed that someone was playing “YMCA” loudly through the speaker system, potentially to test it. Was it the big man himself? Or one of his underlings simply trying playing one of his favorite tracks? It remains a musical mystery.
