Twitch Streamer Gets Roasted for Saying $120k Salary Doesn’t Cover Expenses
What are your expenses? You sit in a chair all day!

I’m sure that Twitch streaming is a harder job than it looks. However, I will not accept that it’s an *expensive* job. The process of Twitch streaming involves 1) sitting in front of a camera; 2) turning on the camera; and 3) beginning to stream. What could one possibly spend their money on?
According to Twitch streamer Snowwcone, the answer is “a lot.” On a recent stream, she explained that a $10,000 monthly check from Twitch can disappear in an instant. As she explains it, a Twitch streamer like herself has to deal with $2,000 rent, a $500 stream setup, a $400 WiFi and IRL Toolkit and payment for editors — on top of a $5,000 travel budget. The expenses are so high, she claims, that she can go into the red for a month of streaming.
Immediately, commenters began to question the validity of these statements. No, let’s be honest: They began laughing at the Twitch streamer.
Ignoring the fact that stream setups and IRL toolkits are one-time purchases, many questioned how on Earth a Twitch streamer was spending $5,000 on travel a month — and, if they were, how that was viewers’ problems. It’s like someone saying, “I don’t have any money after my Bugatti payment.”
Sorry, sucks for you, but it’s not my fault that you bought that!
