U.S. Representative Tim Burchett was recently walking through the streets of our great capital when he decided to wax poetic about aliens living in our oceans.

Somehow, this isn’t the first time. At the start of this year, Burchett claimed that an admiral, whom he did not identify, told him about extraterrestrial craft that could move underwater at speeds previously thought impossible.

Now, however, Burchett has further elaborated on this idea. Here is an uninterrupted section of his commentary on the topic:

“What if these are entities that are here on this Earth, that have been on this earth who knows how long, and that we — we think they're coming in from way out. Maybe they did millennia ago, but they're here, and they're in these deep water areas, and that's why — I mean, like, we say we know more about the face of the moon than we do what’s going on there, and we have a higher propensity of sightings around these five or six, I believe, deep area, deep water areas, and so to me it just, it creates a question there.”

Well I certainly have a lot of questions!

Burchett then reiterated his claim that “naval personnel” told him about high-speed underwater ships. But if we’re to read through the mush and actually figure out what he’s trying to say, it appears that he’s claiming there are five or six known deep-water sites where “entities” have been spotted.

Shot in the dark here: How about we send someone down there with a camera?
