Vacationers Think They Have Squatters’ Rights After a Five-Day Stay
That’s not how this works, guys.

Two people at a bed and breakfast in the U.K. thought they had found a new cheat code: Rent a bed and breakfast and refuse to leave at checkout. Also, change the locks so the person who owns the place can’t kick you out.
Sounds like a foolproof plan. In practice, this isn’t how “squatters’ rights” work, as the two people leaning over the balcony claim in their defense. The man filming, and the presumed owner of the apartment, says to the two, “squatting” his place, “You’re not a tenant, you paid for two nights!”
To which they respond, “You can’t evict us without 30-day notice.” They go back and forth for a few minutes, the two blaming the owner for “not fixing the fridge” and the owner threatening legal action against them.
Sadly, it’s probably just a skit. Still not how this works, though.
