Donald Trump reposted this video of a doctor saying people don't need to wear masks. It has since been deleted from YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
In this video, Stella Immanuel says that taking
hydroxychloroquine can cure people of COVID-19 and also that face masks are not needed to stop the spread of the virus. The FDA however maintains that
face masks are important in slowing the spread and says
there is no evidence hydroxychloroquine actually cures COVID-19. It's been removed from YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter for claims that it contains misleading medical advice and fake news. Donald Trump reposted this video and it's clear why he likes her, since she speaks with familiar reckless self-assurance. After Donald Trump Jr. retweeted the video, his Twitter account was
temporarily banned. On a semi-related note, Stella Immanuel is also a preacher who
speaks about "demon sperm" and alien DNA messing with humans. In other words, she's someone who you might want to get a second opinion before taking her advice.
