Remember when “planking” was all the rage? People tend to forget this, but the reason that whole thing stopped wasn’t just because the meme overstayed its welcome — it was because people died while doing it. 

This should have been a warning that doing stupid shit for the sake of internet clout was a bad idea, and yet, here we are over 15 years later and people are still being dumbasses on the internet in search of attention.
