‘We’ll give it a try’: Pilot’s Announcement Doesn’t Instill Confidence Before Flight to Dallas
That’s not too reassuring.

The last thing you want to hear from your pilot before boarding a flight is, “We’re gonna give it a try.” Well, that’s exactly what passengers heard before their flight to Dallas, as shown in a video recently posted on X.
The pilot, sounding less than confident, told passengers over the intercom, “This won’t be your standard commercial flight, folks.” It’s unclear what the issue was, but the pilot assured his passengers that he’s “confident we’ll make it to Dallas.”
Confident? Gosh, I hope so.
Because if I were on that flight, I wouldn’t be!

“Worst thing is… we might end up...” (goes silent).
Then chuckles: “We’re gonna give it a try. This won’t be your standard commercial flight, folks.”
“I’m confident we’ll make it to Dallas.”
