Airlines will do everything they can to extract as much money from you as possible. Usually, this takes the form of adding a fee to literally everything: bags, seats, being able to board the plane first — if it’s part of the flying experience, they can capitalize on it!

One way that airlines have decided to be assholes as of late is by using baggage sizers. These metal boxes show you the limits of your bag’s size, and if it’s even a *little bit* over, they’ll charge you. Hell, they’ll sometimes even (allegedly) charge you when it isn’t over, because fuck you!

In order to avoid these fees, you’ve really got to make sure your bag fits in the sizer. And, if it doesn’t, you might need to get dramatic, like this woman:
