Two Ohio parents have welcomed the “world’s oldest baby” into their lives after they gave birth to a child born from an embryo that had been frozen since 1994. According to The Guardian, Thaddeus Daniel Pierce was born on July 26th to Lindsey and Tim Pierce, who “adopted” the embryo from 62-year-old Linda Archerd. Technically, this also makes Archerd the oldest mother in the world.

The couple isn’t looking for fame or their names in the record books, as they confirmed to MIT that “we didn’t go into it thinking we would break any records. We just wanted to have a baby.”

Lindsey told The Guardian that while the birth was “rough,” both she and baby Thaddeus are doing well, noting that he is “so chill.”

Personally, I think it’s very fitting that they gave their 30-year-old baby a 60-year-old name like Thaddeus.
