“Vegan leather” has to be one of the best branding exercises of our generation. What you hear is “an animal-friendly alternative to leather.” What it *actually* is is plastic, and if you’re not careful, it can look pretty ridiculous in an outfit.

For example, one man is currently trying to make vegan leather leggings a “thing” on TikTok. The problem is, well, that they look like this:

They might be good if you want to blind someone with shine off your bulge, but in most other cases, these are too ridiculous to even wear in the house, let alone somewhere else.

That said, unbelievably, some people have figured out a way to pull them off, as can be seen in this video:
