Paramotoring YouTuber Breaks Neck When Glider Fails 85 Feet in the Air
I'm not sure if paramotoring is considered a "red flag" hobby these days, but it is a dangerous one.
YouTuber, and amateur paramotor flyer, Anthony Vella recently posted a video of a crash he endured when a paramotor glider he was reviewing "braked" in mid-air and sent him tumbling down to the ground some 85 feet below.
Vella says the crash was not the fault of the glider and blames the mid-air braking on a "missing pension knot" which he says he didn't notice during his pre-flight safety check.
Vella is lucky to be alive and suffered a fractured neck, fractured back, fractured pelvis, and a broken arm.
