Britney Spears has become a full-blown shitposter in recent years. Her Instagram, which has become notorious for capturing her personal life, including her past conservatorship and now autonomous lifestyle, has been a place for Britney to talk directly to her audience.

But recently, Britney has got herself into some pretty hot water after sharing a quote from the late comedian Rodney Dangerfield reading, “I found there was only one way to look thin: hang out with fat people.”

Spears captioned her post: “I wish I could’ve chosen nannies for my children…my dancers…I mean if I had Christina Aguilera’s dancers I would’ve looked extremely small.” Damn girl, chill!

Instagram commenters flooded her page and most users showed disappointment in her use of language. One user wrote, “Britney, PLEASE don’t do that way…” boasting over 9,000 likes, another pointing out, “Body shaming others is not the move.”

Christina Aguilera unfollowed Britney after she shared the post, and Britney has since apologized for her insensitivity, saying, "To be honest, I’m not trying to be critical of anybody. What I posted is a projection of the insecurities I deal with all the time as a result of how my parents and the media have treated me … I would never intentionally body shame anybody because I know what it feels like."
