A Honda Civic is a smart, dependable car. A Lamborghini is an over-the-top showpiece. So what if someone combined the two into one car — something between supercar and “going to the supermarket”?

Well, someone over in India has gone and done it. This video shows the car’s full transformation, going from everyday commuter car to kitted-out clockstopper.

Fake supercars are nothing new. For example, back in 2019, some Vietnamese YouTubers took a year and a half to convert a Daewoo Espero into a damn-near perfect replica of a Pagani Huayra. The original cost of their Espero was just $500, while the price of a new 2020 Pagani Huayra was $3.4 million. It may have taken some time to build, and the engine might blow out after a few rides, but it sure beats paying the extra millions!

Of course, commenters under both the original Indian video and this Vietnamese video questioned whether it was “safe” to do this to a car. The answer is almost surely not — but that’s not why you get into the fake supercar game, now, is it?

In conclusion, shout-out to the people in this Indian mechanic shop for accomplishing such an incredible feat. For your next challenge, I dare you to turn my old, shitty Camry into a Lotus Evija. I have about $50 to make it happen. Get to work!
