Jake Paul and Nate Diaz just couldn’t want to duke it out.

A Thursday press conference hyping the pair’s upcoming battle at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas this weekend quickly turned to blows after a scuffle between the stars’ respective security teams led to a heated shoving match.

Though it’s unclear how the routine photo op devolved into a full-on brawl, the YouTuber insisted that his camp was not responsible for the fracas.

‘Nate’s team has emailed my team trying to claim assault after his team swung first,” Paul wrote on Twitter shortly after the viral smackdown began making the rounds on social media. “Apparently the guy who swung first is at the hospital getting stitches. Hilarious these fake gangsters acting like this!”

This is far from the only time tensions have run high between the fighters, the pair exchanging harsh words during the conference moments earlier, as TMZ noted.

Though a cowboy-hat-clad Paul presented his opponent with a strangely-horny threat, avowing to “bend him over and fuck him like a cowboy,” Diaz offered countered equally homoerotic promise.

"I'm gonna ball on his face, like Luka Doncic dropping 40 on his face. Knock him out, Luka Doncic on his head ass,” he said.

But regardless of who threw the first punch — and the apparent sexual tension between  Paul and Diaz — one thing is certain: With pay-per-view prices, we can only hope their formal brawl is a whole lot better than this mediocre preview.
