Google can’t always solve your problems. One woman learned this the hard way after she hit two Amish people with her car, then proceeded to see if that was a problem by running a Google search for it.

According to the New York Times, “Samantha Petersen, 35, was charged Monday with 21 counts, including criminal vehicular homicide, driving under the influence of drugs and leaving the scene of the crash in Stewartville, Minn.” Why? Well, she allegedly hit an Amish buggy while high on meth and killed two children.

We say “allegedly,” but we might not need to. That’s because Peterson really couldn’t stop confessing to the crime.

First came the Googling. Per CBS News, a search of her browser history found that she had searched for the terms “what happens if you get in an accident with an Amish buggy and kill two people” and “if you hit a buggy and kill two people are you going to prison?” (“Yes,” in case you were wondering about the answer to the latter question.)

Then, she began telling everyone around her. The HR manager at Petersen’s job “said that they had called Samantha Petersen around 10 a.m. the day of the crash and some of the first words she said were, ‘I just killed two Amish people; they were kids,’ and said she wasn’t sober, eventually admitting to the HR manager she was high on meth.”

“I (expletive) up. ... I just killed two Amish people. They were kids. ... I just hit a (expletive) buggy. ... I’m not sober. ... I’m high on meth,” the HR manager recalled her saying, per USA Today.

And just in case you needed more proof, she also sent a text message reading, “I hit that Amish buggy and killed two ppl.”

There’s another wrinkle to this story in which Petersen is trying to blame everything that happened on her sister, but given the amount of evidence against her, I think it’s safe to say Petersen should just take the L.
