Canadians Get Famous In Australia and Around the World.

My nephew is an Able Seaman on a Canadian ship. His mates and himself decided to play some music on the flight deck in Sydney Australia during their spare time. They were an instant success and now they are booking gigs worldwide as they are patrolling the high seas. The Australian people loved them instantaneously. I suppose good musicians don't reside there and the arrival of true talent was a novelty to them.

Here is a copy of his letter...

First of all, some of the guys on board formed a band. I play the bass. It's a lot of fun, we jam when we get the chance.
We even played a show on the flight deck in Sydney. The Captain said we were pretty good. When we pulled into Sydney we had a little party on board with my department.  It was cool and I was promoted to Leading Seaman! So that's alright.

So we have been about a month at sea, then we pull into Darwin. The band and I are going to play again, probably on the flight deck or maybe in a pub.
We're practicing pretty hard, even the Darwin show is a warm up because, we're booked at the Hard Rock Cafe, Singapore. Headlining the main stage. On their national holiday. And they're trying to get us more gigs in South Korea and Japan.. I'm a rock star.

So yeah, the news is I've been promoted and am currently on, what's turning out to be, A world wide tour. Tell the family. Lots of Love
