I don't care what party you say you are with, you gave to give credit to President Regan.  He was a hardass that made sure American hostages were freed.  He then also made both the Iron Curtain and the Berlin Wall fall.  He brought democracy without firing a single shot.  Truely, the greatest president ever.  Yet, he did not win any Nobel Prizes.
